Dalia Alzyod , BSc. (Jordan), MEd. (UAE)
Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
I believe that communication is essential to our wellbeing. The primary way our children learn is through verbal communication and social interaction. My goal is to support children and adolescents at all ability levels to communicate effectively to their fullest potential. My clinical style emphasizes fun, engagement and building rapport. I am committed to help my clients achieve their goals by working closely with their families and teachers as a team.
I am passionate about sharing my experience in ways that support our community, and in building awareness throughout the UAE in terms of the developmental and social dimensions of communication.
I completed my master's degree in Special Education from the United Arab Emirates University - Abu Dhabi, and my bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology in Jordan. I have worked in various clinical and educational settings in both public and private schools, as well as in private practice. My clinical and educational skills are focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, social communication, and cognitive communication. I specialize in the assessment and intervention of speech and language needs for children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech motor-planning disorders, Social-pragmatic disorders, and learning difficulties, using research-based practices.
